According to an official statement released by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, the President's itinerary begins in Borno State.

From Maiduguri, the President will proceed to Bauchi State for a condolence visit to the state government and the family of the late Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi, a prominent Islamic scholar and leader of the Tijjaniyya Sufi order.

Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi passed away on November 27, 2025, at the age of 98 following a prolonged illness.Following the visits to Borno and Bauchi, President Tinubu will travel to Lagos, his home state, where he plans to spend the Christmas and New Year holidays.

Among his engagements in the city, he is expected to serve as the guest of honour at the Eyo Festival on December 27, held at Tafawa Balewa Square.

The festival will pay tribute to notable Lagos figures, including the President's late mother, Alhaja Abibatu Mogaji, as well as former governors Alhaji Lateef Jakande and Chief Michael Otedola.

This multi-state tour combines project inaugurations, personal attendance at a high-profile wedding, a formal condolence, and cultural participation, before transitioning into the holiday period.
