President Bola Tinubu arrived in Lagos on Saturday evening to commence his end-of-year break, following official engagements in Borno and Bauchi states as part of a three-state tour.
The President was received at the presidential wing of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, senior government officials, and All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftains.
A cultural dance troupe also welcomed him, adding to the festive atmosphere.In Borno, President Tinubu commissioned several infrastructure projects and attended the traditional wedding of Sadeeq Sheriff, son of former Governor Senator Ali Modu Sheriff.
He then proceeded to Bauchi for a condolence visit to the family and followers of the late renowned Islamic cleric, Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, who passed away on November 27.
During his stay in Lagos, the President is expected to participate in various social and cultural events, including serving as guest of honour at the Eyo Festival on December 27 at Tafawa Balewa Square.
The festival will honour prominent figures, such as his late mother, Alhaja Abibatu Mogaji, and former Lagos governors Alhaji Lateef Jakande and Chief Michael Otedola.
He will also receive dignitaries paying homage throughout the Yuletide season.
