The Niger State Police Command has announced the safe recovery of 13-year-old Saifullahi Daddi, who was kidnapped in Minna and later found wandering in Gombe State, over 600 kilometres away.
Police spokesperson SP Wasiu Abiodun said in a statement on Thursday that the boy escaped from his abductors and was discovered in the Dukkul area of Gombe on December 3, 2025.
Saifullahi, a resident of Wasagi village via Lemu in Gbako LGA, was abducted on November 30 while at Minna market with relatives.
He told police he was held inside a vehicle until he managed to escape, only to realise he was already in Gombe State.
The boy is currently in protective police custody.The command has appealed to his parents, relatives or guardians to immediately contact the Police Public Relations Officer on 08032233454 to facilitate his reunion with the family.
