President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the recruitment of 50,000 new Police Constables into the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), the Police Service Commission (PSC) announced today.
The recruitment portal will officially open on Monday, December 15, 2025, and remain active until Sunday, January 25, 2026.
The PSC and NPF have pledged that the entire process will be transparent, merit-driven, and 100% free of charge.
“This is a historic opportunity to strengthen policing in Nigeria and restore public confidence through fresh, well-trained officers,” the PSC stated.
Who Can Apply?Two categories are available:
1. General Duty Constables Nigerian by birth
- Age: 18–25 years
- Minimum of 5 credits (including English & Mathematics) in WAEC/NECO/GCE in not more than 2 sittings
- Height: 1.67m (male), 1.64m (female)
- Good character, no previous convictions
2. Specialist Constables (e.g., drivers, artisans, medical personnel, ICT experts, engineers, etc.) Age: 18–28 years
- Minimum of 4 credits (including English & Mathematics) in not more than 2 sittings
- Relevant trade test certificate + at least 3 years’ experience in the chosen field

- Upload clear copies of: Birth certificate/age declaration
- Educational certificates

No payment, no agent, no middleman, the PSC warns that anyone demanding money is a fraudster and should be reported immediately.
Successful applicants will be contacted only through the official portal and SMS/email from verified NPF/PSC channels.
Shortlisted names will be published transparently.The PSC urges all qualified Nigerians, especially youths, to seize this rare opportunity to serve the nation and build a professional career in the Nigeria Police Force.
