The Federal Government has approved the large-scale promotion of 24,200 personnel across the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigerian Correctional Service, Federal Fire Service, and Nigeria Immigration Service.
The promotions were ratified during a meeting of the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCISB), chaired by the Honourable Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo.
Speaking to journalists after the meeting, the Secretary of the Board, Dr. Abdulmalik Jibrin (rtd.), disclosed that every officer who sat for and passed the prescribed promotion examination has been elevated to their next rank with immediate effect.
The development is expected to enhance operational efficiency and motivate personnel in the four paramilitary agencies under the Ministry of Interior as they confront escalating security and border management demands.
