FCT Commissioner of Police, CP Miller G. Dantawaye, announced the breakthrough during a briefing at the command's headquarters on Wednesday.
He attributed the success to reliable intelligence and advanced digital forensics, which facilitated the arrest of four key suspects.
The operation involved coordinated efforts from the Jabi, Gwagwalada, and Mabushi police divisions, initially recovering three vehicles.
The command's Scorpion Squad then broadened the probe, leading to additional arrests and the retrieval of four more cars, along with a significant cash haul.
The recovered vehicles include:A black 2008 Toyota Prado SUV (registration: RSH 967 JJ)
A grey 2009 KIA Optima (registration: RMY 88 AA)

Investigations further uncovered that Adamu collaborated with Alhaji Abdulkarim Gabeida Ibrahim, a citizen of Niger Republic, who facilitated the cross-border resale of the vehicles. Ibrahim remains at large, with police actively pursuing his arrest.
All suspects and recovered items are currently in custody as the investigation progresses to locate other fugitive members of the group.CP Dantawaye praised the officers for their dedication to FCT security and advised vehicle owners to equip their cars with reliable tracking devices for faster recovery in theft cases.
