The Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, has praised Abia State Governor Alex Otti for the remarkable progress achieved in the state over the past two years, noting that the transformations have garnered attention even beyond Abia and Nigeria's borders.
Speaking on December 25, 2025, during the Atani Cultural Day celebration in Arochukwu Local Government Area, where he was a special guest, Sanusi congratulated Otti on his accomplishments and expressed pride in serving on the governor's Global Economic Advisory Council.
"But you will want to know that even outside Abia and outside Nigeria, everyone has taken note of the great transformation of the last two years," Sanusi said.
"I will like to congratulate Governor Otti for his work and to pray that he will continue to deliver for the people. I’m proud to be a member of his international economic advisory council."
The Emir, who arrived in Abia on December 23, also commended the vibrant cultural displays at the event and called for greater national unity, urging Nigerians to build bridges across regions and embrace one another as citizens of a single nation.
Governor Otti, highlighting their friendship spanning over two decades, thanked Sanusi for his visit and used the occasion to reaffirm his administration's commitment to delivering on its promises to Abians.
