The Edo State House of Assembly has summoned singer 2Baba's wife, Natasha Idibia (née Osawaru), to appear before its Committee on Public Complaints, Petitions and Citizens Rights over a controversial viral video.
In the widely shared clip, Idibia lambasted the state government for alleged neglect of infrastructure in her hometown in Esan West Local Government Area, highlighting poor roads, lack of electricity, and overall underdevelopment.
The assembly, led by Speaker Blessing Agbebaku, condemned the video as "incendiary" and harmful to Edo's reputation, insisting Idibia must substantiate her claims during the Thursday appearance.
Sources indicate Idibia is expected to defend her comments on local governance failures, amid rising political tensions ahead of the 2026 elections.
The summons underscores the assembly's resolve to tackle public grievances while combating what it calls "misinformation" on social media.
