Social media sensation Martins Otse, aka Verydarkman, and
comedian Freedom Atsepoyi, aka Mr Jollof, exchanged blows during a flight.
A Facebook user, Dr Paul Ezikel, broke the news when he
posted the video on his page on Monday morning.
According to the post, the duo boarded an aircraft belonging
to the United Nigerian Airline from Asaba in Delta State to Lagos when the
incident occurred.
According to eyewitnesses on the Asaba-bound flight,
both VeryDarkMan (VDM) and Mr Jollof were seated apart VDM in seat 4 and Jollof
in seat 7 when the tension began.
Witnesses say VDM first stood up, walked to Jollof’s seat,
and confronted him, allegedly saying: “Sebi you say if you see me, you go slap
me? Slap me make I see.”
Jollof reportedly ignored him and asked him to go back to
his seat, which VDM eventually did.
However, moments later, VDM returned and insisted again that
Jollof “must slap him,” continuing to provoke him while Jollof remained quiet.
The situation escalated when Jollof finally stood up and
delivered the slap VDM had been demanding. VDM immediately slapped him back,
and a physical fight broke out between the two men in front of stunned
passengers.
Cabin crew and other passengers quickly intervened to
separate them. Eyewitnesses said they initially thought the two were joking or
“catching cruise,” only to realize the fight had become serious within seconds.
VDM confirmed the fight in a post on his Facebook page,
claiming that he dealt with Mr Jollof.
“I don chop Jollof father for inside plane. He bite me, man
wey de bite,” he said in a video.

VDM and Jollof have been involved in heated exchanges on social media in the past, after the critic dragged the comedian’s wife into their drama, alleging that she sleeps with Yahoo boys.
