Presidential spokesman Daniel Bwala has defended President Bola Tinubu’s response to U.S. President Donald Trump’s accusation of “Christian genocide” in Nigeria, insisting the president communicates with Nigerians daily despite no direct public address on the issue.
Speaking on Arise TV’s Prime Time, Bwala reacted to Trump’s designation of Nigeria as a “Country of Particular Concern” and his warning of potential U.S. military action if Christian killings persist.
“If the president speaks through a tweet, is that not communication? Issuing a statement is communication. President Tinubu speaks to Nigerians every day,” Bwala said.
