The Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF) has voiced profound concern and sorrow following the kidnapping of several civil servants near Kabba, Kogi State, as they traveled to Abuja for the Federal Civil Service Commission's ongoing Computer-Based Test (CBT) promotion examinations.
In a statement issued by Mrs. Eno Olotu, Director of Information and Public Relations, Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HCSF) Didi Esther Walson-Jack extended heartfelt sympathy and solidarity on behalf of the entire Federal Civil Service and the broader Public Service to the abducted officers, their families, and colleagues across Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).
Walson-Jack expressed full confidence in security agencies to secure the prompt and safe rescue of the victims, while calling on civil servants and the public to stay calm and vigilant.
Reaffirming the Federal Civil Service's steadfast dedication to the welfare, safety, and well-being of its workforce, she assured that the thoughts and prayers of the Service remain with the affected officers and their loved ones during this trying period.
"The Service stands united as one family in faith, hope, and solidarity praying earnestly for the safe and speedy return of our colleagues, whose safety remains our utmost priority," Walson-Jack stated.
