Nigeria and California sealed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at COP30 in Brazil, pledging deeper collaboration on climate resilience, environmental restoration, and sustainable trade.
Signed by National Council on Climate Change (NCCC) Director General Tenioye Majekodunmi for Nigeria and California state officials, the pact targets sharp cuts in carbon emissions, ecosystem protection, and eco-friendly commerce and transport links between the West African nation and the U.S. economic powerhouse.
