Gunmen have abducted a Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) officer and a neighbour in Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State.
The incident occurred around 9:00 p.m. on November 9 at Asa 1, Otobi Akpa Road, Otukpo.Sources told Zagazola Makama that about five armed men stormed the residence, broke down the door, and forcibly took away FRSC officer Oketa Ejembi and an unidentified neighbour.
The victim’s son, Daniel Oketa, reported the abduction to police at 9:43 p.m.The Divisional Police Officer immediately deployed a patrol team and tactical units to the scene.
Police authorities confirmed that operations are underway to locate the suspects and rescue the victims unharmed.
The Criminal Investigation Department has launched a probe into the incident.
