Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has bolstered the fight against insecurity by donating 10 operational vehicles and 50 motorcycles to the state’s Joint Task Force (JTF).
The equipment is aimed at improving mobility, rapid response, and operational effectiveness of security forces, especially in the frontline local government areas of Kiru, Tsanyawa, Kunchi, Ghari, Shanono, Tudun Wada, and Doguwa.
Speaking during the handover ceremony held on Wednesday at Government House, Kano, the Governor reiterated his administration’s unwavering commitment to the security of lives and property, describing the gesture as part of ongoing collaborative efforts with security agencies.
The allocation letter was formally presented by the Director of Special Services, Umar Baba Zubairu, on behalf of the Director General, Major General Sani Muhammad (rtd).Receiving the items on behalf of the JTF Commander, Air Marshal AM Tukur, was the Chief of Staff to the Commander.
The event was graced by representatives of the Commissioner of Police, the State Director of the Department of State Services (DSS), the NSCDC Commandant, and the Chairmen of Kiru, Tsanyawa, and Gwarzo Local Government Areas.Governor Yusuf assured continued government support to all security formations operating in the state to ensure lasting peace and stability.
