Music legend Innocent “2Baba” Idibia and his wife, Edo State House of Assembly member Hon. Natasha Akpoti-Osawaru, have joyfully welcomed a bouncing baby boy.
The proud mother broke the news on her official Facebook page on Sunday, writing:“Congratulations to Mr & Mrs Idibia. We joyfully welcome our bouncy baby boy into the world. May this precious little one bring endless laughter, happiness, and blessings to our beautiful family. With love, strength, and unforgettable moments as we begin this wonderful new chapter. Welcome, baby boy Idibia.”
The birth marks the latest milestone in a romance that captured national attention throughout 2025.
The couple first stepped out publicly early in the year, held a colourful traditional wedding in Benin City in July dressed in full regal Edo attire (complete with coral beads and the iconic okuku crown), and have since remained inseparable.
The new arrival comes months after 2Baba officially parted ways with his former wife, actress Annie Macaulay-Idibia, ending a two-decade relationship that produced two daughters and several high-profile moments, including a lavish Dubai wedding in 2013 and a vow renewal in 2022.
Fans and colleagues have flooded social media with congratulatory messages, celebrating the new addition to the Idibia family and wishing the couple a lifetime of happiness with their newborn son.
