The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has donated ₦23 million to the residents of Buhari community in Yunusari Local Government Area, Yobe State, following a tragic airstrike on September 14, 2021.
The incident, which occurred during operations against Boko Haram in the Northeast, resulted in the accidental bombing of the community, killing eight people and injuring thirty others.
Representing the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Hassan Bala Abubakar, Commander Umar Idris of Operations Hadin Kai Air Force Component announced the donation and pledged to construct a solar-powered borehole for the community as part of NAF’s commitment to supporting the affected residents.
