In a robust operation spanning Jigawa State's 42 police divisions, the Jigawa State Police Command arrested 153 suspects and confiscated 13,078 illicit drugs as part of its ongoing battle against crime and drug abuse.
The operation also yielded a motorcycle and ₦228,570 in cash.SP Lawan Shiisu Adam, the police spokesperson, revealed that the suspects were detained for offenses including drug trafficking and possession of illegal substances.
Recovered items included Exol, D5 tablets, Tramadol capsules, and cannabis, among other drugs.
CP Dahiru Muhammad, the Commissioner of Police, praised the operatives for their commitment and called on the public to provide reliable intelligence to combat drug-related crimes.
He reaffirmed the Command’s dedication to ensuring peace and security, warning criminals to reform or face legal consequences.Following investigations, the suspects have been charged to court.
