Delta Women Endorse Tinubu, Oborevwori for 2027, Declare ‘No Vacancy’ in Aso Rock, Asaba

The Unique Ladies for Sheriff (ULF), a prominent women’s group in Delta State, has endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori as the sole candidates for the 2027 presidential and gubernatorial elections, proclaiming “no vacancy” in Aso Rock and the Government House in Asaba.

The declaration was made during a vibrant event at the Cenotaph in Asaba, attended by women representatives from all 25 local government areas.

In her keynote address themed “Touching the Grassroots,” ULF National Coordinator Dame Nkem Patience Okwuofu described the gathering as a pivotal moment to reaffirm support for Governor Oborevwori’s leadership and his MORE Agenda.

“We are mobilizing young girls, farmers, artisans, and businesswomen—the heartbeat of Delta State—to amplify the governor’s development strides and strengthen grassroots structures,” she said.

Okwuofu praised Oborevwori and his wife, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, for their commitment to inclusive governance and urged women to engage in government programs, voter education, and community development.

Representing the governor’s wife, Mrs. Ewoma Erijo, wife of the Chief of Staff, commended the women’s unity and dedication.

Senior Policy Adviser Hon. Funkekeme Solomon also lauded their political engagement, urging them to ensure government interventions reach the right communities.

“Let every woman be a virtue in her community and champion the governor’s initiatives,” he said.

A motion for a vote of confidence in both leaders was moved by Princess Pat, who declared, “Based on the achievements of President Tinubu and Governor Oborevwori, we pass a vote of confidence. Come 2027, both will return unopposed.”

The motion was seconded by Irene Imilar, reinforcing the group’s belief in the leaders’ ability to drive progress.

The ULF’s endorsement signals strong grassroots support for Tinubu and Oborevwori as they seek second terms, highlighting the pivotal role of women in shaping Delta’s political landscape.
