Nigeria’s Tobi Amusan delivered a stellar performance in the women’s 100m hurdles final at the Tokyo 2025 World Athletics Championships, clinching a silver medal with a brilliant time of 12.29 seconds.
The world record holder showcased her trademark speed and precision, finishing just behind the gold medalist in a fiercely competitive race.
Amusan, 27, powered through the hurdles with remarkable composure, navigating the challenging field to secure Nigeria’s first track and field medal at the championships.
The race was won by Ditaji Kambundji in a National Record of 12.24s, while Grace Stark took Bronze in 12.34s.

Her time of 12.29s showcases her status as one of the world’s elite hurdlers, coming tantalizingly close to her own world record of 12.12s set in 2022.
