Tinubu to Commission Projects, Launch Governor’s Book in Owerri Visit

President Bola Tinubu will today undertake a working visit to Owerri, Imo State, to commission several legacy projects spearheaded by Governor Hope Uzodimma and launch a book authored by the governor.

The visit shows the synergy between federal and state governments in advancing infrastructure, modernization, and sustainable development under the Renewed Hope Agenda.

The projects slated for commissioning include the Imo Concorde Hilton Hotel, the Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu International Conference Centre, the Asumpta Flyover, and the state-of-the-art Imo Digital Learning Centre.

These initiatives reflect a commitment to transforming Imo State into a hub of innovation and economic growth.

Governor Uzodimma’s administration has also made significant strides in the digital economy, aligning with President Tinubu’s vision to position Nigeria as a global digital powerhouse.

Through initiatives like MylmoApp, the Imo Digital City (IDCL), and the SkillUplmo Techosphere remote work platform, over 40,000 young Imo residents have been trained in advanced digital skills, enabling them to transition from reliance on handouts to becoming globally competitive wealth creators.

Additionally, the Orashi Free Trade Zone, which has attracted over seven oil and gas companies, underscores Imo State’s contribution to national industrialization, investment, and job creation.

Today’s visit, marked by the commissioning of these projects and the book launch, celebrates the partnership between the federal and Imo State governments, showcasing Imo’s role in driving innovation, opportunity, and prosperity for Nigerians.
