Tuokpe Onuwaje, the ex-wife of Reno Omokri, a former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, has publicly criticized him for prioritizing social media over meaningful parenting.
The couple, who share three children, including a son with special needs, saw tensions rise after Reno posted a gym photo with their only daughter, captioned, "My beautiful lookalike alakowe daughter joined me in the gym today."
In a scathing Facebook post, Tuokpe called out Reno for what she described as superficial engagement with their children.
She accused him of neglecting their son, whom he hasn’t seen since June 2024, while making brief, photo-focused visits with his siblings.
“Stop showing up just for photo ops—show up for real life,” Tuokpe wrote, urging Reno to prioritize quality time with their son over seeking social media validation.
She emphasized the importance of consistent parenting, stating, “Real parenting happens in the everyday moments, not just in staged photos. Put down the camera!”
Tuokpe’s post has sparked discussions about Reno’s parental involvement, highlighting the need for meaningful presence in their children’s lives.
