Nigeria, Namibia Strengthen Ties in Education, Development


Nigeria’s Minister of Education, Tunji Alausa, has reaffirmed the country’s commitment to deepening collaboration with Namibia, following a bilateral meeting with Namibian President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly.


The discussions, attended by Nigeria’s Vice President Kashim Shettima, centered on fostering partnerships in education, knowledge exchange, and continental development. 


The talks reflects a shared vision to boost cooperation for mutual progress.


In a post on X, Alausa stated: “At this year’s United Nations General Assembly, I joined Vice President Kashim Shettima in a bilateral meeting with President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah of Namibia. Our discussions reinforced Nigeria and Namibia’s commitment to strengthening ties in education, knowledge exchange, and continental development. I am dedicated to deepening these partnerships for a stronger, more prosperous Africa.”


The meeting highlights Nigeria’s ongoing efforts to enhance educational and developmental collaboration across the African continent.
