Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah has clinched a record-breaking third PFA Men's Player of the Year award, dominating the vote with 29 goals and 18 assists in the 2024/25 Premier League season, helping Arne Slot’s Reds secure the title.
The 33-year-old Egyptian star, who also won a third Football Writers’ Association Footballer of the Year award earlier this year, becomes the first player to achieve this PFA milestone.
Reflecting on his journey, Salah said, “Growing up in Egypt, I dreamed of being a footballer and providing for my family, but you don’t think about the big stuff. As you grow, you see the bigger picture and ambition takes over.”
His stellar performance made him the Premier League’s top scorer for 2024/25.Salah is joined in the PFA Premier League Team of the Year by Liverpool teammates Virgil van Dijk, Ryan Gravenberch, and Alexis Mac Allister, alongside new signing Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth.
Arsenal’s William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes, and Declan Rice also made the XI, while Chelsea’s Cole Palmer and Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes, despite Player of the Year nominations, missed out.
