Musa Gude, a member representing the Uke/Karshi constituency
in the Nasarawa state house of assembly, says he has appointed 106 aides to
assist in “serving his constituents”.
NAN reports that Gude, a member of the Social Democratic
Party (SDP), spoke in an interview in Lafia, the capital of Nasarawa, on
Tuesday.
The lawmaker said the appointments aim not only to enhance
service delivery but also to improve the living standards of the aides and
their families.
“I want to disclose that I have 106 aides on my payroll,
including special and personal assistants. Some of them receive N100,000,
N80,000, N50,000, N30,000, N20,000, and N10,000, respectively,” he said.
Gude said the gesture is part of his commitment to inclusive
leadership and socioeconomic empowerment within his constituency.
He also highlighted his efforts in providing boreholes and
paying the senior secondary certificate examination (SSCE) fees for numerous
students.
“I have done my best in health, education, agriculture,
infrastructure, and other areas. I have also empowered many constituents to
enable them to become self-reliant,” he said.
He assured his constituents of continued quality
representation at the state legislature and urged them to live in unity, peace,
and tolerance despite their differences.
