In a brazen attack, armed gunmen stormed the home of Alhaji Audu Shehu in Yarmariya village, Tudun Wada Local Government Area of Kano State, abducting his 50-year-old wife, Mrs. Laure Audu, and their 15-year-old daughter, Miss Basira Audu.
The assault occurred around 1:45 a.m. on August 8, 2025, according to sources who spoke to security analyst Zagazola Makama.
The attackers, wielding dangerous weapons, also shot Alhaji Audu’s 13-year-old son, Ibrahim Audu, in the left leg.
Police from Tudun Wada Division responded swiftly, transporting the injured boy to Tudun Wada General Hospital for treatment.
Authorities have launched an investigation and are intensifying efforts to rescue the kidnapped victims and apprehend the culprits.
