Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has announced that peace has returned to his home state, Rivers.
Wike made this declaration during a media chat on Thursday, stating that he doesn't owe anyone an explanation about the terms of the truce.
Wike declared that peace has been restored in Rivers State following his reconciliation with suspended Governor, Siminalayi Fubara.
According to Wike, individuals who exploited the crisis in Rivers State for personal gain are no longer benefiting and are unhappy about the peace.
Wike described these individuals as "fifth columnists" who were drawing illicit funds from the crisis for their selfish interests. He stated that such fifth columnists are no longer happy that he has reconciled with the suspended Governor of the state, Siminalayi Fubara.
