The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has defended the President Bola Tinubu administration against criticism, describing detractors as "politically expired" and blind to progress.
Wike made these remarks while flagging off and commissioning road projects in the Ushafa-Bwari area of Abuja.
Wike described critics of the Tinubu administration as individuals who have failed to achieve success despite their long-standing involvement in politics.
According to Wike, these critics are blind to the progress being made under the current administration and are driven by political motives rather than a genuine desire for improvement. Wike claimed that some of these critics have switched between multiple political parties since 1999 without achieving any notable success.
“Let them hear. Let those who don’t have vision, who are politically expired, and those who, since 1999, have belonged to over 10 political parties, let them see what you’re doing.
"Whichever channel they want to watch, they will see Mr President. And yet, people are saying nothing is working. Must we come to their houses before they know something is working? Unfortunately, we won’t come to their houses,” Wike stated.
