At the Foundation Laying and Graduation Ceremony of the Dominican Sisters’ College in Abatete, Anambra State, former Governor Peter Obi reaffirmed his long-standing commitment to the institution.
Reflecting on his tenure as Anambra State Governor, Obi highlighted his contribution to the school by constructing the girls’ hostel from scratch, providing a safe and conducive environment for female students to live and learn.
During the ceremony, Obi laid the foundation for a new boys’ hostel and donated ₦25 million to support the project, further solidifying his dedication to the institution’s growth.
“Education remains the most productive investment any nation can make,” Obi stated. “It is the foundation of progress, the initial ladder for lifting people out of poverty, and the bedrock of peace and development.”
He urged continued support for educational institutions, healthcare, and poverty alleviation initiatives to build a strong, sustainable nation for future generations.
