Former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose has publicly endorsed President Bola Tinubu for a second term in office, while also throwing his weight behind incumbent Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji and his deputy for another term.
The announcement was made during a rally organized to endorse Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO) and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 elections.
Fayose, a prominent and influential figure in Nigerian politics, declared, “I hereby endorse publicly without reservation, President Bola Tinubu for a second term. I also endorse our governor, Biodun Oyebanji, and his deputy for a second term.”
The statement reflects Fayose’s confidence in the leadership of both Tinubu and Oyebanji, signaling strong support from a key political heavyweight in the Southwest.
Fayose’s endorsement is seen as a significant boost for Tinubu’s re-election campaign, particularly within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and in the Southwest, a crucial political stronghold.
Governor Oyebanji, lauded for his people-centric governance and developmental strides in Ekiti State, also received Fayose’s unequivocal support alongside his deputy.
