Super Eagles captain, William Troost-Ekong, has dismissed the idea of retiring from the Nigerian national team anytime soon.
In a recent interview, Troost-Ekong reaffirmed his commitment to the team, stating that he still feels physically and mentally strong enough to compete at the highest level.
The 31-year-old defender expressed his desire to continue contributing to the team's success, saying, "I still feel like I have something to offer the team." Troost-Ekong emphasized that he will know when it's time to step aside and will be the first to announce his retirement.
Troost-Ekong assured that he won't overstay his welcome, saying, "I'll never overstay my welcome. But right now, that's not crucial to my mind."
The captain's comments suggest that he is focused on helping the Super Eagles achieve success in the present and near future.
