Jimoh said Adefarasin committed an offense by pointing a
stun gun at a content creator.
The CP disclosed this while appearing on Channels
Television’s Sunrise Daily on Thursday.
Recall that in the first week of June, a video clip surfaced
online showing Adefarasin pointing what appeared to be a handgun at a content
creator in traffic.
The viral video led to public speculations, with some social
media users alleging that the pastor was displaying a gun while being filmed by
a TikToker known for documenting luxury cars.
But the popular pastor in a message to his members denied
owning a gun.
Adefarasin said the object was not a firearm, and he did he
point it at anyone.
He was subsequently invited for questioning and released by
the Ogun State Police Command.
Speaking on the incident, the Lagos CP said: “Nothing is an
offence under the law except what the law states.
“Even under the Fire Arms Act, if you fashion out anything
that looks like a wood and make it look like a gun – use that guise to take
possession of properties from other persons, you have committed armed robbery.
“Pointing a stun gun to another individual and sending that
threat and fear to such a person at that particular time constitutes an
offence.”

This is a serious matter and should be properly investigated. No one is above the law, and accountability is important for everyone, regardless of their position.
