Nigerian Medical Student Meets President Tinubu in Saint Lucia


Bob Chikwem Amadi, a Nigerian medical student studying at the American International University in Saint Lucia, had a memorable encounter with President Bola Tinubu and Prime Minister Philip J. Pierre during the President's official visit to the Caribbean nation.


Amadi, who was part of the service staff from a local catering company hired for the event, was introduced to President Tinubu during a courtesy visit to the Prime Minister's official residence.


President Tinubu asked Amadi about his background and studies, offering words of encouragement before inviting him to join in a group photograph with both leaders.


Amadi described the experience as meaningful and unforgettable, expressing his appreciation for the opportunity to meet the leaders. Amadi has been living in Saint Lucia for a decade and is preparing for clinical training after completing the basic phase of his medical education. He praised the calm environment and contented people of Saint Lucia.


Amadi noted similarities in agriculture and culture between Nigeria and Saint Lucia, highlighting the potential for stronger connections between the two countries.


President Tinubu's state visit aims to strengthen Nigeria's ties with countries in the Caribbean and South America.
