Almost a year after the housemates of the 'No Loose Guard' season of Big Brother Naija left the show with Kellyrae of Doublekay emerging as the winner, the cast met again with host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu for their reunion show.
The reunion, which began airing on Monday night, had the former housemates clearing the air on certain issues, discussing life after the show, and catching up on the relationships they still shared with each other, both good and bad.
Among the pairs that graced the season were Zinwe, Zion and Chinwe, who were at the time in a relationship. But upon questioning from Ebuka, it was revealed that the pair had now broken up.
Ebuka asked Zion: "The streets say you're a single man. Are the streets correct?"
"They can say that", Zion replied.
In response, Chinwe narrated the circumstances surrounding their breakup, citing several instances of negligence towards her and her feelings and the bills she handled that he neither appreciated nor refunded.
"For Zion's birthday in December, we went to a strip club. After we were done partying, they brought the bills and magically, it was my responsibility", Chinwe said.
She added that she eventually sorted the bill of N290k of which Zion later refunded only N150k. She explained that she had come to Lagos from Benin for his birthday but wasn't able to spend enough time with him as he was always away.
"I wanted to spend time with my man, but on my last day in Lagos, he said he went to a club and didn't pick any of my calls". Chinwe said that was the 'last straw' as she had a breakdown that morning after he had returned, which eventually led to her blocking him everywhere.
They both revealed that they got back together in February, but Chinwe once again broke it off after Zion asked her for N300k for his website, and in another instance. She said after she sent him money the last time, he ghosted her and that was the point she decided to 'pick herself from the floor'.
In response to all the allegations, Zion took to his Twitter (X) page to speak on the issue. He said; "Normally I have no business coming online to talk about my personal life but this girl don drag my leg too much, and for the sake of my people let’s break it down a bit… we met last year as everyone knows, but who listens to u would think we’ve known each other for years…"
"Saying I asked you to pay for one bill at the club is crazy stuff fr tho…what strip club bill in Lagos is 200k?? So my crime here was asking “my girl” to help complete a 900k bill, after changing over 300k just for her to spray on strippers. And that’s not part of the clubs bill"
"I’m not gonna keep addressing this dead topic cos anyone with half a cup of sense already knows what’s going on… And since dating me was that bad, why didn’t you break things off then?? Even after I ended shit TWICE, you still cried to get me back…now you’re here talking shit"
Meanwhile, Dj Flo and Rhuthee, who entered the house as Flourish, are also no longer cordial. DJ Flo, who has been Rhuthee's friend for about 10 years, revealed that they had a fallout after the show because Rhuthee didn't think she had her back during the fight in the house that led to their eviction. Rhuthee was not in attendance during this episode.
