A former Kwara State Commissioner and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Abdulraheem Adisa is dead.
Aged 91, he died in the early hours of Thursday according to sources in Ilorin, the state capital.
A loyal member of the Saraki dynasty, Adisa was one time Editor of the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, General Manager of The Herald Newspapers, Commissioner for Information and Chairman of Moro Local Government Area of the state.
Burial arrangements are underway scheduled for 10a.m at the Muslim public cemetery in Ilorin.

Abdulraheem Adisa’s passing marks the end of a long career in both journalism and public service in Kwara State. At 91, he had lived through decades of Nigeria’s political and media evolution. His professional journey included serving as Editor of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), General Manager of The Herald Newspapers, Commissioner for Information, and Chairman of Moro Local Government Area.
