Aisha Yesufu, coconvener of BringBackOurGirls, BBOG, advocacy group, has warned President Muhammadu Buhari against applying any form of force on peaceful protesters.
Nigerian youth hit the streets on Monday in continuation of
the protests against the brutality and extrajudicial killings by police.
Osogbo, capital of Osun State and Lagos and Oyo States
witnessed a second wave of the End SARS protest on Monday.
Following the development, President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday warned that against violent protests in Nigeria.
He said anyone who commits acts capable of disrupting peace
and stability will be dealt with
Also on Sunday, the police reiterated its ban on gatherings,
warning that such might be hijacked by unscrupulous elements.
And reacting to this, Aisha, tweeted, “You either allow
citizens protest peacefully or they will protest violently. Seems Nigeria
learnt nothing from its handling of Boko Haram.”
