Following the Supreme Court
Judgement in favour of Senator Ahmed Makarfi, the 30 member Senate PDP caucus
have vowed to remove the All Progressives Congress (APC) out of power in 2019
general elections.
Chairman of the caucus and Senate
Minority leader at a press briefing in Abuja explained that the victory for
Senator Makarfi faction was a victory for all PDP faithfuls particularly those
who stayed behind in the course of seemingly intractable crises.
“This is PDP caucus of the 8th Senate. We are meeting out of excitement over the victory accorded us by the Supreme Court.”
“We said let Nigerians know the event that happened today and that the seemingly intractable crises has been resolved. We do know that about 99.9% PDP faithful are behind the Makarfi faction.”
Akpabio added that the crises was
a family issue which often occurred in democratic setting, saying all those on
the run should come back.
“What happened was a family issue and it is no victor, no vanquished. We are calling on all to come back for we are all one united family,” he said.
He said the coast has been
cleared for the party to remove the All Progressives Congress out of power in
2019.
Corroborating, Deputy Senate
President, Ike Ekweremadu and former Senate President, David Mark urged party
faithful to be courageous in chasing the APC out of power.
“This is victory for our party, we must pursue, we must overtake. With this decision by the court now, change the change is imminent,” they maintained.
I bet you are too late for what you said, how will you explain to Nigerian's about corruption which PDP planted, and the BOKO HARAM terrorist, IPOB agitation etc
