The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) have denied reports that they are owing their late Technical Director Shuaibu Amodu seven months salaries and instead promised to pay up his outstanding two months salaries.
Instead, the body admitted to owing the former Super Eagles head coach two months, promising to pay up soon.
Amodu died in his sleep on Saturday morning and was buried the same day in his native Edo State according to Muslim rites.
"NFF Gen. Sec, Mohammed Sanusi has confirmed the Federation is owing late Coach Shuaibu Amodu salaries for two (2) months," the NFF tweeted on Monday morning to clarify the situation.
"Sanusi: Every member of NFF Management is being owed salaries for two (2) months. The NFF will pay all monies due late Amodu to his family."
