Popular Nigerian cancer patient, Debbie Idiagbonya is dead

Popular Nigerian cancer patient, Debbie Osarere Idiagbonya, has now lost her prolonged battle with cancer, today, April 1, 2016.

Debbie who has spent years battling breast, liver and bone cancer had been on her way to recovery with further treatments facilitated by rigorous fund raising on her behalf.

“As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all.” Ecclesiastes‬ ‭11:5‬ My September wasn't all that rosy. A lot happened within 28 days but, again! GOD is faithful. I was on admission for 8days, had 2 minor procedures, plenty scans you don't want me to go into details. The way God works with everybody is different, please don't compare yours with others. Like I told a friend. I guess my miracle is me going through treatment, surgeries, tests, scan machines and God making all of them work better for me.. Sickness Sucks! Life Threatening Sickness Sucks!! Cancer sucks👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾 Hey!friends in Houston, I would be in Houston on Oct 2nd for a cancer event on Saturday 3rd.. DM me if you would like to participate..

The young lady who had quickly become a beacon of hope to others struggling with the disease through her faith and enthusiasm, will be missed dearly.

Debbie has been living with stage 4 invasive ductal carcinoma since 2012. She’s been in the US, where she was receiving treatments at Howard University Teaching Hospital.

She went on remission between April-September 2014 before the cancer resurfaced and she started a fresh treatment of chemotheraphy. Before she died, her cancer metasized to the bone and skull wall which affected her lungs from functioning well.

Already, some Nigerian celebrities like Adekunle Gold, ID Cabasa, Osi, most of who campaigned for her during the #KeepDebbieAlive project, have all started mourning her demise.

Five days ago, Debbie had shared a photo of herself, while sharing a hymn as its caption.
