EFCC probes Chime’s administration

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has commenced earnest investigations into the administration of Governor Sullivan Chime of Enugu State.

An operative of the commission, said on Thursday, that the EFCC investigation was in response to several petitions written by indigenes of Enugu State, about the financial operations of the previous administration in the state.



It was stated that operatives are engrossed in moves to verify allegations of misappropriation of funds involving a huge amount of money.

There is a likelihood that Chime, might be invited for interrogation even though the operative did not give the exact date for the interrogation.

As a prelude to the investigation of the former Administration in Enugu State, operatives on Thursday, grilled the Chief of Staff to former Governor Sullivan Chime of Enugu State, Mrs. Ifeoma Nwobodo.
