Patience Jonathan, an ‘incredibly crude woman - APC

The All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Organisation (APCPCO) has described the wife of the President, Dame Patience Jonathan as “an incredibly crude woman” but thanked Nigerians for putting up with her.

The APCPCO said in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja that it is not only insulting for Mrs Jonathan to describe the presidential candidate of APC, General Muhammadu Buhari as “brain-dead” it is also demeaning of her status as the First Lady.

Consequently, President Jonathan is urged to call his wife to order, according to the statement signed by Director of Media and Publicity of APCPCO, Mallam Garba Shehu.

Shehu observed that it was discourteous and inexcusable for a wife of any president with a modicum of decency to make such a false and infantile pronouncement about the health status of another man on account of politics.

The APCPCO recalls that in recent time, Mrs Jonathan has made statements invoking violence like she did in Calabar over the weekend when she urged PDP supporters to “stone” all those canvassing for change.

Shehu said that it was below the standard of a wife of a president to stoop so low to call for violent attacks against members of the opposition.

The statement noted that while a good number of Nigerians are not taken by surprise by Mrs. Jonathan’s recent incredulous pronouncements, it is important for her husband to put her in bridles in the spirit of the Abuja Peace Accord.

The APCPCO similarly observed that much as indecent and disgraceful the outbursts of Mrs. Jonathan was in attempting to pull the wool over the eyes of Nigerians about her husband’s incompetence to lead the country, it is typical of the PDP’s modus operandi to confuse Nigerians with mundane issues instead of the issues of corruption, for which her husband has achieved an unbeaten record; his appalling lack capacity to secure life and property of citizens and a glaring incompetence in dealing with the challenges facing the economy.

  2. She is worst than the description ascribed to her. If she had children, I believe her attitudes would have been better, she would have been more refined than what she is now and I have reasons to believe that her husband, the president doesn't even have her time or she is just the master of her husband. How can a so-called 'first lady' stoop so low to be insulting someone's husband, a respected, one-time head of state of this country? To make matters worst, it seems her husband enjoys all these her timid, aggressive way of life.

  3. What so you expect from an alcoholic like patience Jonathan. She is obviously a social misfit, a relic of native barbarism. Crude and pathetically unrefined in disposition; consistently incoherent and inarticulate, stuttering like a stupid maid. She is a disgrace to Nigeria.

  4. The woman is a reflection of her husband. We once had a civilian President in this country whose wife was uneducated. He knew his wife's limitations and never allowed her into the limelight. But think of our current president: Where he was born was where he had all his education, right to PhD level, became deputy governor, governors, and then was suddenly pulled out to Abuja to be our no.2 citizen! How much exposure does one have in a locality such as Bayelsa? If he himself had had adequate exposure, he would have known that his wife is not a material to allow in the limelight, to be making pronouncements in very crude and murderous language to the entire nation -nay, the entire world!

  5. This woman should understand that violence arising from inciting statements is liable in courts especially ICC.

  6. Win or lose, Jonathan will go down in history as one of the most corrupt Nigerian leaders, along with Sani Abacha and Ibrahim Babangida. His wife will also go down as the most ignorant first lady the country ever had. It is important to school these women on their roles and expectations as first lady, otherwise they should be shielded from the public if they are determined to be unteachable. The role of the first lady is similar to being a diplomat. Being a diplomat has its own requirements. Patience Jonathan just doesn't have any of that, hence her predisposition to act toutishly and shamelessly.

    1. Let Patience Jonathan continue to display her madness in Public. The truth is that an illitrate mul like her is not supposed to be heard let alone being noticed. All i can tell her is that she should pray for God to forgive her use of sinister, incissive and derogatory languages agianst the main opposition party particularly Gen. Buhari. When The likes of Ekiti tout governor rig,the Femi Funny Kayode are brought in to cause confussion in a political capmaign organisation, Nigerians should expect nothing but madness in practice, fire works, insults and character assassination. Madam Johnathan should be reminded that those that dispsie old age will not live up to their old age,if she can read let her read the Bible and advice her self like a woman and burry her pride. With all these, Nigerians will vote Buhari. The fear of GMB is the begining of election

  8. I agree - her comments are not only crude, primitive, unlearned but uncivilized. Nigeria is losing her respect and dignity among the comity of nations with these kinds of nonentities in power.

  9. The first lady is only being himself and very confident about. I like her personality. The truth be told she is a very strong and courageous woman. Every sucessful man needs such a woman by his side. We Nigerians wants the humble Mr. GOODLUCK and his courageous wife to be our first citizens come march. We are moving forward.

  12. Anonymous 7:31 and 8:59, you guys will use her as the first lady of your house and not this our dear country. This election of a thing as really made me to understand how daft some people could be in this country. How could a well sensible somebody says they are voting for GEJ after all this dramas, Somebody that could not perform for 6 years and suddenly came out to be performing because he want to win the heart of the people. This has proven to us all that GEJ is not a good boss neither is he a good 21st century manager. All this are totally unacceptable and Change we must have.

  13. If GEJ can successfully rig himself as the flag bearer of PDP he will do the same during the next election. I guess there are corrupt mafioso behind him. I pray they don't push him to his grave. However, 99 percent of Nigeria women are like the first lady. No offense please. Majority of Nigeria women don't even have a high school certificate. For instance, how many women have make their own political comments in this forth coming election. Women must speak out, either for GEJ or Buhari. Otherwise, rigging this election by the naija mafia will be as easy as a abc.
