Imo State Governor, Chief Rochas Okorocha, on Monday in Enugu expressed his intention to contest the presidential election, saying he will become the President of Nigeria in 2015.
“In 2015, I will be the president of the country,” Okorocha declared to loud cheers from broom-wielding members of the All Progressives Congress at a rally attended by prominent members of the party in the South-East.
The governor, who spoke in Igbo and English, said his emergence as the country’s president after the 2015 presidential poll would surprise many, particularly the Peoples Democratic Party.
He also said the impending victory had been prophesied.
Okorocha, whose speech was punctuated with exclamations of “My people, my people,” said the APC presidential ticket was never zoned to the North.
Rather he said it had now been zoned to Igboland.
According to Okorocha, when the presidential aspirants in the APC are counted, he would be mentioned first, before former military Head of State, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.); former vice president, Atiku Abubakar, and Kano State Governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso.
The Imo State governor added, “Three months ago when I said I wanted to be president, they asked, “Can an Igboman be president?
“But now when they count those contesting presidency, they will first count Rochas Okorocha, before Buhari, Atiku Abubakar and Kwankwaso.
“When they said they have zoned the presidency to the North, I asked, “When was the meeting held?”
“Now we have zoned it to Igboland.
“In 2015 there will be a turnaround in the fortunes of Ndigbo.”
Recalling the suicide bombing at a school in Yobe State earlier on Monday, in which several students died, Okorocha declared that the PDP had failed God.
“PDP has failed God – may God forgive PDP in Jesus name,” he said. Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday

Rochas for APC? Does he think the party of born to rule north will accept?
ReplyDeleteIf APC will play this card there are chances that PDP may loose this election. Buhari need to sacrifice his personal ambition so that APC can defeat PDP.
ReplyDeleteThat is the only way APC can win because Rochas is already a northerner. he will get the vote of teaming population of Igbos and Northerners and huge Yoruba APC supporters.
ReplyDeleteI support this. Though, am a yoruba man were just need a change. Any tribe can be the president so is not pdp. Rochas u are welcome
ReplyDeleteIf its anything to go by then nigeria is about to experience a positive transformation. I support an okorocha/whoever combination! May god deliver us from the cancer that is pdp
ReplyDeleteHmmm! I FORSEE CRACKS in APC.
ReplyDeleteIf he can win the primary election, which i doubt much,we will surely cast our votes for him. Afterall,he is a million‘S‘ times BETTER than the present FOOL that called himself the president.
ReplyDeleteIt is not in our character to call our leaders/elders names or insult them.
DeletePls lets desist from this habit and, go ahead speak our minds on areas that we need change.
God Deliver Nigeria.
Okorocha is just day dreaming. By the time he wakes up the APC primary would have been over. Among those aspiring in APC, he should come second to the last. No matter how bad a northern candidate is, the north will always prefer theirs to the best from south. So Rochas, you think it is by speaking the hausa dialect that you will use in securing their vote, fafafahhhhhhhh, fowl. Don't fool yourself, don't waste our states money, don't wast your energy, dont wast your time and don't waste the scarced common wealth and resources. Imolites, be wise
ReplyDeleteThe north to back Rochas though primaries? And the yourubas too? You are a learner.
DeleteI hope this prophesy will come truE!/
ReplyDeletePresident of imo?
