Shehu Sani, a former negotiator between Boko Haram and government, has called for Nigerian authorities to negotiate with the girls’ Islamist captors, and he said they may have to embrace the unpalatable option of a prisoner swap. “There are two ways to which you can get these girls free,” Sani told CNN’s “Connect the World” show.
“The first is to use force, and the second is through dialogue. The use of force is not an option for now in the sense that nobody knows where these girls were kept.
“And even if you know, these girls have been embedded in with the insurgents who are heavily armed. And any attempt to rescue them will be putting their lives in further danger.” Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday

I hope Shehu Sani. is not an adviser of the Islamist sect-boko haram.
ReplyDeleteYou are a BH leader.
ReplyDeleteThis Shehu Sani must be put under close watch, for he may be one of these bad guys. I have heard him talk much on this insurgency and all his talks point to one thing - negotiation. How does one even negotiate with faceless people? this Sani should be made to present the faces of the Boko Haram he speaks for always.
ReplyDeleteI think he right since our government has shown all signs of weakness.
ReplyDeleteWe are made to understand dat BK is
ReplyDeletefaceless. How can u have a faceless enemy for 4 yrs? Its a sign of weakness to have an enemy who strikes u always without identifying him. I don't blame u if u say d govt shld not negotiate, but wat oda option do we have on ground dat will not jeopadize the lives of these gals aside negotiation?
