The Ndigbo Unity Forum has said President Goodluck Jonathan should hold himself responsible for the escalation of the insurgency in parts of the country.
The President of Ndigbo Unity Forum, Mr. Augustine Chukwudum, said this in a reaction to the Presidents assertion that some people were trying to bring down his government by using Boko Haram Islamic sect.
He admitted that Jonathan was not the originator of the Boko Haram crisis.
Chukwudum said, "The President has failed to act as the Commander-in-Chief. He has not brought the military to do their duty as they ought. Let him do the right thing and the Boko Haram issue will die naturally.
"We have said it long ago that a former governor of Borno State should be arrested and prosecuted for his role in propping up Boko Haram, but government has failed to do this."
The NUF president said the military too should be indicted for their failure to bring the religious sect under control. Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday

Ndi azuru azu... Who bought u to say nonsense Mr Man
ReplyDeleteFreedom of speech don cause plenty thing o!
ReplyDeleteMr chukwudum its easy 4u to say GEJ is taking his role seriously as the commander in Chief of d armed forces, even though I agree with u a little on it but I bet u won't do better bcos u don't know wat it takes to be d President of Nigeria.
Then enlighten us, what it took to be a president?(excuises?).
DeleteAnon.9:10, am highly dissapointed in your conment(about buying), so you guys dont know that been a leader makes you responsible for every action(which makes a good leader to admit responsibility for "anything" during their reigns) and been a president leaves every security apparatus under you(so why making excuises?)
Saying things as it is does'nt makes an enemy or an opposition, a good leader always makes good a worsen situation not giving excuises and to mr david saviour, leaders are born not make(it's what is inside, dont be deceive that it can be learned; if no b panadol, it can "never" b panadol).
And pls. stop applying sentiment to every articles/comment because this president is a NIGERIAN first before been an izon man,(which every NIGERIAN voted for), So stop taking every comments personally as if others does'nt has right to criticise or praise him.
David, please ask yourself if Mr Presido is confident enough to assert ideal roles of Commander in Chief.
DeleteU r talkin nonsense mr. Man
ReplyDeleteUr speech is base less. A real Igbo man wiLl nt even take u serious. Nonsense
Ndi Ibo are in good position to tell Nigerians of the Boko Haram issues, they have lived and still living in the North since time immemorial more than any tribe from other part of Nigeria, even now in Maiduguri some of their youths are working together with the civilian Jtf in the war against terrorist, Mr Chukudim says the right thing, GEJ inherited the problem but he didnt handle the top army brass as the C in C and former Borno governer Sheriff was allowed un questionable of the fingers being pointing at him by the Ndi Ibo and good people of Borno.
