'My Oga At The Top': Wife Allegedly Protests At Channels TV, says her husband doesn't sleep at night anymore'

The wife of the NSCDC Commandant that was ridiculed in the crazy "My Oga At The Top" VIDEO has been reported to have forced her way into Channels TV studio today to protest bitterly to the chairman of Channels on the damages the crazy video has caused his family.
She cried that her kids at school are been ridiculed everyday by their mates.

On her part, her neighbours and fellow market women make jest of her every day. She says that the worse of the issue is that her husband can't sleep at night again because of the terrible embarrassment the video has caused him.
In fact she says the man cry every night and also, the so called Oga at the Top is even contemplating sacking or demoting the man because of the damages the video has caused NSCDC.

[Before this woman came from protest at Channels TV, Her Husband has received a call about his suspension].

    1. Thank u very much. Kudos 2 the presenters, they are being paid 2 ask relevant questions and extract information from whoever they interview & dis was a job welldone. D commandant not knowing d answer shud ve said dat much, & ask 4 time 2 gv them a current one or since he chose 2 lie, frame one correctly instead of sounding cocky & displaying stupidity & ignorance at the end. How does he get information about his orgn? From the public? Follow the orgn news & get updated if not from their website. That means his knowledge in general is questionable. I recommend a computer be installed in his office and a comprehensive training 4 him and his likes.the People condemning channels shud realise its our security we are talking about and not just this man.

  13. It is not just about the website but mediocrity in the public sector.

Suspending the man is not the solution. He needs help through training.

  14. Channels TV didn't do well, unless they were set to destroy the man from the onset. They would've skipped the question, and I even think the man should have known the questions he would be asked before appearing for d interview. I can imagine the plight of the family members now. I think Channel TV should employ this man.

  16. Its sad and shameful to admit that mediocrity is at the helm of affairs across board in Nigeria. For those who are too emotional to recognise, it is this mediocrity that stands in the way of meaningful and progressive national development. It is the role of the Press to expose such mediocrity, not to get the kicks out of it, but raise the bar of experience and expertise, especially at such level of national leadership. More good has been done than bad. Relax guys

Spare the man as he has been humiliated enough.

  20. No doubt Channels TV has done the right thing. But over flogging the issue as if the rest of us are perfect is what is bad. I wished we all can just imagine the emotional depression this man, his wife and kids will be passing through now. What if it were you, how will you feel, bearing in mind that even a Professor in a particular field can NEVER know ALL?

  21. Do people even watch CNN to see how reporters n journalist expose lies, deceit n corruption by asking the who, what, where, when n why's? When channels TV do their job well ignorant Nigerians are crying wolf for true journalism... This is why we choose to forgive a known thief in the name of presidential pardon, we employ illitrates n call them level 15 offices n pay them huge salaries when there are u n I ably qualified to take up these responsibilities. Please let the man bear the brunt of his choices n let's all move ahead... I bet u more will follow...

  23. A simple 'I don't know' from the commandant would have prevented all these shows.Come to think of it, It's a suspension, not a sack. He must be purnished for his pride of not admitting he doesn't know his organisation's website address. His admittance wouldn't have robbed him of his competence in the job.His schedule may not permit him to take the website address to heart. Channel TV did a good job as usual and shouldn't be blamed at all. The videos and jokes on 'My Oga at the Top' were posted by viewers and not the Presenters that anchored the programme.

  25. For those puting sentiments into this, the presenter has done nothing wrong. The problem of Nigeria today stems from being sincere and truthful. Would you tell Larry King on CNN to go hell for anchoring live interview on issues that are volatile ? Common peeps! its hi-time to put round pegs in round holes. Shem deserved what he got. He could have found an excuse not to attend the interview than to come on air to ridicule his office and himself personally. Though I feel sorry for his immediate family but he let them down.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Sincerely, the problem I saw with Mr. Obafaiye is that he was not sincere. He should have say the truth that he doesn't know the website. Not knowing the website doesn't mean that he is a dullard. Though it is expected that he should know the website of his organization and be able to say it off hand, not knowing it doesn't mean that he is incompetent. What will you say about McCain of the US who admitted during his presidential campaign again Obama that he doesn't know how to send email on the computer? Does the Americans because of that ridicule him? Let us be honest many of the Nigerian that are ridiculing him don't know the website of their organization, and if suspending Obafaiye for not knowing the website is the right thing then majority of the top government officials in Nigeria might have to go on suspension for one reason or the other including Mr. President!

  27. I don't blame Channels' presenters. If this happened in the US or UK, the would be suspnded and given some actions to close out this gap. This event tells us that we are moving in the right direction. Please, show love to this man and his family for that is what they need right now. If I had the clout, I would have taken them out of the country on a short trip. If you can watch the video again, you would see the man knew he was walking a tight rope. More of these situations happen everyday - PH dude

Thumbs Up! Channels Tv,keep up the good work

  30. I think there should be moderation in whatever we do, the presenter should'nt have insisted on the website after been very sure that the man did not know it. However, there should be a pre-interview question sent before the invitation, he should have taken his time.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Look at what ppl are saying the presenter this the presenter that. Is it the presenter that told the man not to know his official website of where he works? Common sense would have thought the man hw to answer such question. And the wife coming on air to say what she is saying is even more ridiculous than the Oga on top comedy. ? Even the Oga’s on top the NSCDC will be worse to have this kind of person represent them. Let them ask all head of ministries simple questions like this and they will fail. Have we not seen senators who cannot recite national anthem, or cannot explain the acronym of the office they want to hold.

  32. your child goes to school everyday and does not know the name of his/her school would you be a happy parent? there are thing you child would not know you take time to explaine. not question like what is your name. ppl who are accusing the presenter must be was than this man with his Oga on top.

  33. What the Channels TV presenters did was undiluted journalism! If all Presenters and journalist in our dear country can be like this, i can see hope in the near future for our dear country. The person that made the comment of, had it been in the USA or Canada that the journalists would have been suspended... You clearly don't know what you are talking about... This are the kind of things that make a journalist's career. Had it being in the USA that man would obviously loose his job!
If you feel sorry for that guy, you absolutely don't deserve to be a Nigerian! This is one of the reasons nigeria has refused to grow! Having incompetent people at the helm of sensitive affairs of our country! Even the president was lying on CNN! If it were to be in a good country that man called "JONA" is a goner!
We need to put the right people at the right places for us to grow as a nation!
Stop all the sentiments! Face the truth! If he doesn't know ordinary website, i'm sure he doesn't know a lot of things!
Aside the issue of website, did anyone noticed i hardly answered any question right?
And some people said they should have prepped him before the interview... Now what kind of journalism will that abi? How would we ever know the truth if that's what all journalist do?

Please, please, and Please Nigerians it's time to o-pen our eyes and call spade a spade... That deserves 100% what he got. He's the one who brought it upon him self and his family!
Next time he will not be feeling confident and trying to cover up his ignorance with lies!

  35. Its not everyone that has charismatic prowess and is good at public speaking... Channels Tv Presenters should think they can humiliate a person or pressure a person to giving out information on National TV, well their time is coming. Its sad for Commandant Shem, but its his fame!

    ReplyDelete
  36. It is worrisome and perhaps scandalous that Nigerians are taking such sensitive issues for granted. This is absolute mediocrity. How can a head of a security agency of such magnitude don't know their website. This is crazy. It's like asking an MD of an establishment the website of his organisation and he tells you "my oga at the top will announce one". Is that not stupid. If such person doesn't know ordinary website, i'm very sure he will not know the organisation policies.
It's high time we stood up in this country and let the right people lead this country.
