Today, Farouk Lawan, the lawmaker who allegedly collected a bribe of over half a million dollars from an oil mogul, Femi Otedola, has been remanded in prison by an Abuja court.
The judge directed that Mr. Lawan, a top member of the House of Representatives, be held in prison until February 8 when his bail application will be heard.
Mr. Lawan is being prosecuted alongside another member of the House, Emenalo Boniface.

ReplyDeletelet others learn and be careful for anyone could be the next in line.
It's sad very sad for men of integrity to so crumble.
What integrity? Please.
ReplyDeleteDid they man actuallly succeeded in getting the house to remove zenon oil from the list of subsidy mess and we say him alone is corrupt?. They should all rot in hell, both him and the so-called house members
ReplyDeleteHe should be kept in the same cell with Rev. King.
ReplyDeleteThe FGN should stop deceiving us with this Farouk sham operation. He who's without sin should cast the first stone. What happened to the giver of the bribe? They merely set him up to remove our eyes from other ploys up their sleeves. Can anyone one of dem swear that he or she is innocent? What happened to the Toronto guy, what was his punishment? What of dimeji, or dis new one , the pension thief, and who's that one that Efcc is pursuing all over the world, the former kogi governor. See them plenty. Madam deaconess of civil service denied the existence of d 500k fee for civil service jobs, what has happened to that report? All the contractors that have chopped money without executing any projects, what happened to them? Or the oil subsidy pple, u washed the body but left the head, una doo well o. Shebi FGN had a feel of a series of deaths last year? Don't u think its time for u pple to stop all this hypocrisy and serve Nigeria with the fear of God.
ReplyDeleteOne simple question, how much of money or riches followed the late Gen Sani Abacha when he was laid to rest? Money, money money! see that one that chopped 23bn, do u know how many men died while starving for a belated pension? do u know how many families were ruined bcos of ur greed? these poor n cranky old men storm the banks everyday asking for their money and some pple had the sad jobs of telling them "sorry sir, e never enter". meanwhile some others are there spending this money on their kids overseas, buying pre-launched cars and on the 5bn prostitutes. We all came to this world with nothing and so shall we leave.
