VIDEO: CBN Governor Sanusi, lashes back at those calling for his sack

The governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Sanusi Lamido Sanusi has lashed out on those calling for his sack over his purported statement that the federal government should reduce the work force in the country.

Speaking to Channels Television’s correspondent, Chukwuma Onuekwusi, in London at the end of the 13th session of the Honorary International Investors council meeting, Mr Sanusi said that those calling for his sack “are shying away from the reality of the time”.

He said he was not talking about the sack of civil servants but a reduction in the size of political appointees who take 70 percent of government revenue leaving a mere 30 percent for the 160 million Nigerians.

According to him “what Nigeria is practising is an American system of government that is very expensive”.

He said that he cannot join issues with anyone calling for his sack.

  1. What a shameless country , 70 % of our revenue for political Appointee (0.5% of our Population ) and 30 % for average and poor Nigerians ( 99.5 % of Population ).

Can this so called politician including GEJ explain what they are doing in office ?

No basic amenities , No security ,No transparency and accountability .

If people like Orubebe can have billions of Naira Property in Abuja and Dubai without declaring it in his asset before ...

We have evidence before us that these politician are playing with the future of our young and unborn generation .

i will advice that all house of God should not accept gift or tithe from corrupt Politician .

They believe that the money is clean immediately they pay tithe.

  3. Imagine how Nigrians are badly treated by their so called leaders. And then, GEJ shamelessly said" I can contest in the 2015 election" Nigerians should have protested on his blastphemy.

We need more Sanusis in this country especially NOW! Sanusi, if i were you, with my money, my royal position, connection and certificate, i will resign from these tainted and vision-less people, because your continuous stay with them will only rubish your pedigree and credentials! 6. I thought he was refering to the civil servants, if its the politicians, he was right. Unemployment is on the high side, and most of these politicians have their respective businesses. Recycling the same corrupt men. Fuck!

  7. When we consider what's going on in the country, blood pressure rises and nerves flare. CBN governor is in a good possition to advice the Government and I do not think his suggestion is out of place. There are too many portfolios and most of them are simply duplications of the same job/duty. Our law makers will never accept this one! The Politicians will fight against the implementation with the last drop of their blood!!

  8. God will save us from this country. The mess these politicians are causing innocent Nigerians should stop. I think we need more people like Sanusi to expose the evil intents of these bad politicians. I implore all Economists including Financial Analysts to join Mr. Sanusi to not just talk about the problem but find a lasting solution to it so that there will be hope for our future generation. Mr. President should take note.

  9. It appears we Nigerians want a solution BUT we dont want to pay for the price it demands, recently Obasanjo calls for revolution as the only option to unseat present leadership across the board; and people started abusing him as being too old and he is suffering from mouth cancer and all negative language against him.

Please leave sentiment apart, the only solution to Nigeria problem is REVOLUTION like it happens in North Africa, because the current leaders will always want to be in position and continue relevant; thereby continue to make life worse and unbearable for the citizen.

Forget about Obasanjo contribution to the problem so far, the solution is the issue at hand and we youth must arise and save this nation; so that current generation and unborn generation will not suffer.

Let us arise and fight this injustice in our land (it happens in the days of Israelites in House of bondage in Egypt, until the rebelled and cried out, God never arise to deliver them) therefore Nigerian youth must shoulder this great ressponsibilty, and no one should betray his father's land from freedom out of oppression.

Sanusi you said it right if only and only you did not have any political ambition in heart, I dont trust you too, because of your unpopular policies; the present menance of the country didnot exclude you too,
How much is CBN budget yearly?
What was the intention behind your office policy against commercial banks management?
Why you choose to introduce Islamic banking in the country, inspite of puplic outcry objection to it?
Why do you choose to demoralise and levy serious agony & hardship on Nigerians through your proposed N5000 note to the economy?.
I want to believe you have repented now and you can see well well, that your boss policies are anti-people's and unpopular policy.

GOD SAVES NIGERIA AND HER INNOCENT PEOPLE'S FROM TASK MASTER AND satanic AGENTS (AMEN)!!!

  10. I have said it before and I will still keep reminding Nigerians that there is nothing good can come out of PDP.

Everyday, we hear different news about corruption and GEJ is still warming up for the president of where or possibly the Ijaw president.
