Bid for freedom: People from the states marked in red have lodged petitions asking to break away from the rest of the United States since Obama returned to the White House
Some people are really having a difficult time facing the reality of a Black president; so difficult in fact, citizens from 20 states — and counting — have filed petitions at We The People on WhiteHouse.gov to be granted permission to leave the union.
The states include: Louisiana, Texas, Kentucky, Michigan, Colorado, New Jersey, Montana, Missouri, North Dakota, Indiana, Tennessee, Mississippi, South Carolina, North Carolina, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, New York, Arkansas and Oregon.
According to the terms of participation for “We The People,” as of October 3, 2011, petitions that meet the listed criteria become searchable on WhiteHouse.gov once — and if — they reach 150 signatures within 30 days. If that is accomplished, for President Obama to actively consider a petition, it must reach 25,000 signatures within the remainder of the same 30 day period.
The White House reserves the right to change the time limit and number of signatures required.
While there are several of the president’s policies that one could object too, at heart he is a moderate Democrat — no more, no less. Couple that with the fact that no other president since Lincoln has spawned calls of secession, it’s clear that the perceived “otherness” of President Obama is the reason for this sudden need to leave the United States simply because the person in the White House is black.
They should leave the United states if they want to. But its soo sad that even at this present time and century people have failed to understand that we are one no matter where u come from orr the colour of your skin. Americans should be after only one thing, which is the well being of the people and the progress of the nation, irrespective of whoever is making that happen. President Obama is loved all over the world not because of the. Color of his skin but by the content of his heart.Nigeria would give anything to have a man like him to rule her. So sorry for the "blind" Americans who can't see with their hearts or mind. For Great minds work together for the progress of their Nation.
ReplyDeleteThe right to Self Determination is enshrined in the United Nations chater and it should be respected not only in the western world. Let our Nigerian constitution creat room for such so that those in power treat minorities well less they will utilise their righ to Self Determination. Right now it is common knowledge that the Ogoni's have conditions before the ferderal government of Nigeria without which they will opt for Self. Determination. Freedom of association and desocciation is a must for all humans irrespective of race and country.
ReplyDeleteSure any individual that wishes to leave their country has the right to do so. However they may not take control of any of the soverign territory. So that leaves them with one option declare themselves stateless and at the mercy of the UN or international community... I think they will not. They like too much the cheap gas cheap food good homes good roads big aemy and navy.. They are just big mouth @

The fact that President Obama is Black is not the issue at all, the fact that he has not at all gone by what what he has said he would do when he ran for office is the problem. He is raising taxes, ruining employment and ruining our reliability with other countries. Many, many issues but not that he's black.
