A hideout used by members of the Boko Haram sect was on Saturday destroyed by
a combined team of the military and other security agencies in Rikkos area of
Jos.The brownish colour three-bedroom flat, with boys’ quarter, was fortified with high steel gate and fence in the ghetto area of Jos before it was demolished by a bulldozer on Saturday.
The operation commenced on Wednesday night by a combined team of military Joint Task Force (JTF) from Maiduguri, military Special Task Force (STF) in Plateau, the police and the State Security Services (SSS).
A source told newsmen that a man suspected to live in the house was trailed by the JTF men from Borno and were later joined by the STF men in Plateau and other security agencies.
“At about 3.00 a.m. of May 17, a hideout of the Boko Haram terrorists was discovered in Rikkos area of Jos where six women and 11 children of Boko Haram members were kept.
“They have been rescued for investigations and rehabilitation,” Capt. Mdahyelya Markus, spokesman of the STF, told newsmen on Saturday in Jos after the operation at about 7.00 p.m.
According to Markus, items recovered from the three-bedroom bungalow include a laptop computer, external hard disk, eight cell phones, 23 sim cards and 19 prepared improvised explosive detonators.
He said, “Further search on the house at about 6.30am of May 19, revealed one AK-47 rifel, four magazines fully loaded with 7.62mm special ammunition and 150 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition.

“Four containers of sodium oxide, one potassium chloride, three lead nitrate, two aluminium metal powder, one remote control, chromic cat-cut and white sulphurs were also discovered.”

The Fed Govt has been backing these people since the Plateau state government commenced genuine investtigation on them. Terrorists where arrested making improvised explosive devices (IEDs; some of the culprits caught with amputated hands from accidental explosions during preparation of IEDs in Jos were set free in a court of law. Now it has gone to the extend that since it is common knowledge, a state of emergency has to be placed on innocent people who suffer for months without salaries while the real culprits enjoy material support from their sponsors. But God in his infinite mercy is exposing them.
ReplyDeleteThe FGN has no true intension of dislodging the terrorist from Plateau because the Northen objective has not been achieved. Accordingly, it will continue to give room for crises that would distabilise the state. Has anyone ever asked, for instance: Why has JTF in Jos always been commanded by a muslim? How come the Force knew not of this hide out untill others from Maiduguri came to tell them of it? why has the JTF put a blind eye on the other areas like Angwan Rogo, Gangare, Dogon Kafe, Dadin Kowa, Dulumi, Bisichi, Dorowa Babuje and such other sites where suspected arms dumps are hidden? Its common knowledge that they security agents have sniffer dogs and scanners to identify precisely where the locations of these arms are sited. why should the country spend so much on these facilities and the security agents will refuse to deploy them? The answer lies more on a hidden agenda for Jos and its environs. Now that the fire has spread beyond the state, everyone is crying. The cry will not stop until we realise that the solution will suffice in the FGN developing the willpower to uproot members of BH within its ranks working for the North and its islamic agenda: it is then and only then can Nigeria witness genuine peace. God knows those who are innocent, even if the FGN cannot protect them He will protect His People and expose their enemies. The blood of innocent souls murdered in Jos will keep crying to God for vengence on the perpetrators of this evil plans and their supporters until victory is achieved.
Victory will only be achieved in God's kingdom. Pray for it to come as said by our lord Jesus. No man can solve mankind's problems. Also act according to God's will and you will surely be part of that kingdom where all the numerous blessings outline in the scriptures will be realized
