PDP stole ACPN’s mandate, says Saraki
Saraki, the leader of ACPN and father of Governor Bukola Saraki had last week vowed not to reconcile with the governor over the landslide victory of PDP in the state as well as loss of his daughter, Senator Gbemisola Saraki and other candidates of his party in the polls.
The elder Saraki said this at a meeting with youth leaders and the party’s candidates in Ilorin.
His message was read on his behalf by the Chairman of Elder’s Forum of ACPN, Amasa Jidda, who also represented him at the meeting.
“Though we were robbed of victories in the recent general elections by the desperate administration, still we are proud to remain men of honour and integrity,” Saraki said and commended members of his party for being peaceful at the polls. He alleged that the ruling PDP in the state intimidated ACPN supporters to rig the election.
“You have all collectively distinguished yourselves as good ambassadors of our great party and true illustrious sons and daughters of Kwara State in the face of provocation, and massive rigging of the last general elections in the state by the present administration,” he added.
