President Jonathan was the leader of government delegation in 2009 that agreed & signed the contentious agreement with ASUU as the Vice Presisdent but now as the president he has refused to implement the agreement. What ASUU is asking for now is the MOU between the government and ASUU should be documented and signed before they call off their strike which the government has refused. The issue most of our politicians has established private universities and their wards/children are not schooling in public universities. For the education minister to threatning to sack all the striking lecturers shows that he is not in tune with global happenings. Now that the lecturers has stood their ground, let's see what the minister would advise the government to do.
